Brumbies U16s Staff Expressions of Interest open now

The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies would like to invite Expressions of Interest for Coaching & Management roles for the ACT Brumbies U16s Representative team to contest the 2024 Rugby Australia Super Rugby U16s Championship.

The tournament starts on 30th September and concludes with a Grand Final on 3rd November. These roles form a vital part of our ACT Brumbies Pathways and Talent ID networks.

Staff for the U16 Representative team will be expected to attend all trials, and tournament matches (which includes interstate travel to Sydney and Melbourne this year) as well as attending training sessions 2-3 times per week from early September.Ideally the Coaching staff will also be available to view Junior Club and Rep Rugby matches through the middle of the year (May to August) to assist with Team selections.

 ACT Brumbies U16s Roles Available (Voluntary Positions)

• Head Coach

• Assistant Coach x 2

• Strength & Conditioning Coach

• Team Manager

 Coaching Prerequisites

- Rugby Australia Level 2 Coaching Accreditation or higher

- Rugby Australia Smart Rugby Accreditation

- 3+ years of Proven experience coaching male adolescents (or older) at Representative level 

- Leadership Skills (Head Coach particularly)

- Experience using match analysis programs (hudl) is desirable but not essential

 Strength & Conditioning Prerequisites

- ASCA Level 2 Accreditation

- 3+ years of Proven experience coaching S&C to male adolescents (or older)

- An ability to work as a collaborative Team member

 Team Manager Prerequisites

- Strong Leadership and Organisational skills, including IT skills

- Experience managing Rugby teams, ideally at a Representative level

- Experience using Rugby Xplorer desirable but not essential

 NOTE: All positions require the candidates to have a current Working With Vulnerable People Card (or State based equivalent accreditation).
